Unlike ammonium nitrate based binary explosives, FIXOR™ is easily and quickly changed from a flammable liquid into a versatile explosive by the EOD Specialist when required.
When mixed, the FIXOR™ Explosive has been formally classified as a 1.1D Explosive (UN 0048 – Charges, demolition).

Rended Safe Procedures For Fixor™
1. Pour out onto a metal tray and allow FIXOR™ to evaporate. Only inert orange powder will remain.
2. Pour out onto a metal tray and, using an ignition set, burn off the FIXOR™. (unconfined FIXOR™ will not detonate when ignited)
THE FIXOR™ DIRECTED ENERGY TECHNIQUE
The performance of an individual FIXOR™ can be enhanced by filling the FIXOR™ completely with FIXOR™ Explosive by "topping-up" with the explosive from another FIXOR™. This increases the net explosive weight from 400 grams (0.9 lbs.) to approximately 500 grams (1.1 lbs.) per FIXOR™. One (1) FIXOR™ can be used to top-up four (4) other FIXOR™s as follows: mix five (5) FIXOR™s and use one to fill up the other four.
The performance of the "topped-up" FIXOR™ is also enhanced by pointing the bottom of the FIXOR™ towards the target. In such cases, the end of the detonator must be inserted 25 mm (1 in.) from the top of the FIXOR™.
